InternetSpeedTest.tech is part of the Easy Digital Tools network: lightweight, fast tools with clear results.

InternetSpeedTest.tech is a free browser-based internet speed test. It measures download speed, upload speed, ping and jitter, while also showing your current public IPv4 address and internet service provider when available.

What this site does

When you start the test, your browser exchanges temporary test data with a remote measurement network. The tool uses those measurements to estimate the speed and responsiveness of your current internet connection. Results appear directly on InternetSpeedTest.tech without sending you to a separate results page.

Who it’s for

  • Everyday users checking whether their internet or WiFi connection is performing normally.
  • Gamers and streamers comparing download speed, upload speed, ping and jitter.
  • Remote workers troubleshooting slow video calls, cloud transfers and unstable connections.
  • Developers and IT users checking VPNs, network changes, routing and connection quality.

Accuracy and important notes

  • Results are a snapshot: Internet performance can change from one test to the next.
  • WiFi conditions matter: Router distance, walls, interference and device capability can affect results.
  • Background traffic matters: Downloads, streaming, updates and other connected devices can reduce measured speed.
  • VPNs and proxies: These may change your visible IPv4 address, ISP result, routing, speed and latency.
  • Ethernet comparison: A wired test can help separate an internet-line problem from a WiFi problem.

Privacy approach

We designed InternetSpeedTest.tech to provide useful results without requiring an account:

  • No account or sign-up is required.
  • We do not ask you to enter personal information to run the test.
  • Individual speed-test results are displayed in your browser and are not intentionally saved in our own results database.
  • Third-party network, IP, ISP and analytics services may process technical data needed to operate the site.
  • Standard server logs may exist for security, abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
