US President Joe. Biden ended a trip to Europe amid the Ukraine-Russia war on Wednesday as he sought to strengthen partnerships with his eastern North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) allies. Meanwhile, Russian President Vladimir Putin is growing closer to China amid the completion of one year of Russia’s ongoing attacks on the Union. During his four-day trip to Ukraine and Poland, Biden assured his allies that the US would stand by their side despite Russian aggression on Ukraine. At the end of the trip, Biden met with the leaders of the Bucharest Nine in Warsaw. The nine countries in the eastern sector of the NATO alliance are known as the Bucharest Nine.
